Opportunities that launch
Today’s business environment is exciting, dynamic, and demanding. Business enterprises are customer-focused, shareholder-conscious, performance-motivated, and built on core competencies. They are ISO-certified, safety-oriented, integrated, technology-driven, leadership dependent, and welcoming to graduates who are well-prepared to function within these parameters.
Trinity’s location in the Chicago area provides internship and networking possibilities among a wide variety of organizations, from small entrepreneurial businesses to Fortune 500 firms. Our location offers exposure to a substantial number of career opportunities and a diversity of people, providing Trinity students a significant advantage in building their resumes and gaining credibility with future employers. If you choose to pursue an accounting degree from the College, you can be assured of our excellent reputation with business owners. “For more than 20 years, Trinity has been a consistent source of high caliber employees for our firm,” said Lawrence J. VanDrunen, Dryer, Ooms, & VanDrunen, Ltd. Because many firms share the same sentiments, a very high percentage of our accountancy majors secure jobs before they graduate.
Gain momentum with intensive studies
Along with the general education curriculum, during your first two years of study you will learn the fundamentals of accounting, business management, marketing, and finance. During your junior year you will add a concentration to your business studies to specifically focus on your area of interest. In addition to a major in business, Trinity also offers majors in accountancy and secondary business education.
Be a community catalyst
Trinity’s business and accountancy programs will provide you with a solid foundation in business theory and practice within a Reformed Christian liberal arts context. You will learn to articulate a Christian perspective on business. You will apply your knowledge and skills to impact the business environment for Christ and discover how a Christian perspective informs business. You can focus on how to serve God through an exciting career in business.
Alumni that prove our point
Graduates of Trinity’s business program fill professional positions in some of the largest and most dynamic organizations in the world, as well as small, expanding businesses in their home communities, and in many faith-based organizations and ministries.
The mission of the Trinity Christian College business department is to provide, within a Reformed Christian liberal arts context, a comprehensive foundation in business theory and practice which prepares students to fulfill their career goals and/or graduate studies. The mission of the business department echoes the mission of Trinity Christian College which states “We strive to offer the highest quality of instruction to prepare students for excellence in further study and careers beyond Trinity.” The business department uses a servant-leadership perspective as it introduces students to the foundational areas of business practice. This perspective encourages students to evaluate business practices by applying Christian principles to consider the impact of business practices on society.
