Education to workplace: “My degree in computer science has been very helpful in my career. Even though I am not actively writing code in my everyday work, all of my programming courses help me to understand how the code works and how it affects the rest of the software, which makes me a better tester.”
Internship with Argonne National Laboratory: “A professor connected me with Argonne, which gave me a flexible schedule and allowed me to work full time in the summer and part time during the school year for two years. I worked as a Java developer, but I also gained valuable experience in the software life cycle and software documentation, which carried over to my current career. Also being able to put this experience on my resumé was extremely important as I looked for a job.”
Collaborating with profs: “[Trinity’s size] allowed me to work closely with all of my professors in the computer science and mathematics departments. Not only were they always available to help us with our studies, but they also took a personal interest in each of their students. I am thankful that God’s plan for my life included my time at Trinity.”
