Accreditation

Trinity Christian College is a four-year, degree-granting institution operating under a charter granted by the state of Illinois in 1959. Under this charter the College has approval to award both the bachelor of arts and the bachelor of science degrees in appropriate fields.

Trinity Christian College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association (www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org or 800.621.7440). The College is accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education for elementary, K-12, and secondary certification. The bachelor of science in nursing program is approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (www.idfpr.com) and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (One Dupont Circle NW, Suite 530, Washington, D.C. 20036-1120; 202.887.6791). The business program is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. The bachelor of social work (BSW) program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The College is approved by the state of Illinois for state scholarships, grants, and loans. Trinity is approved for all federal educational aid programs, including the education of veterans under Title 38, U.S. Code; and it is approved for the education of international students by the U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration, and Naturalization Services.
