TRANSFER TUESDAYS

Transfer Tuesdays are scheduled on the first Tuesday night of each month to allow transfer students the opportunity to come visit Trinity Christian College without interrupting commitments at school or work. This is a great time to get specific questions answered by the transfer counselor and get a tour of campus. How many credit hours do I need to transfer to Trinity?
You need 24 completed hours. If you have less than 24 completed hours, at the time of your application, Trinity will need to see your official high school transcripts and ACT or SAT scores.

What is the minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) needed to transfer?
The minimum cumulative GPA is 2.0 from all the colleges attended.

When can I transfer to Trinity?
Trinity works on a rolling admissions basis; therefore you can apply at any time, for fall or spring semester. You are encouraged to apply at least a month before the semester start date.

Are scholarships available to transfer students?
Yes, transfer students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher are available to receive academic funding. Students can also apply for scholarships in art, music, theatre, and more. TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS

Trinity Christian College recognizes the transfer associate's degree, commonly called the Associate of Arts or Associate of Science. Students with these degrees will be accepted with junior standing, with the following requirements to be met for graduation:

  1. Transfer students may use transfer courses with at least a C or higher to meet the general graduation requirements and specific program requirements if the registrar finds courses to be equivalent to the necessary Trinity courses.
  2. Transfer students must take English 102 or have it waived with an acceptable ACT or SAT score, by passing an English competency placement test, or by transferring in a course equivalent to English 103.
  3. In order to receive a degree from Trinity, transfer students must meet all of the general requirements stated above with the following exceptions:
    1. Those entering Trinity with 30 or more transfer credits will be required to take only one interim course at Trinity.
    2. Those entering Trinity with 60 or more transfer credits will be required to take either philosophy 101 or 102 and either theology 121 or 122 at Trinity.
    3. Those entering Trinity with either an associate of arts or associate of science degree approved by the registrar will receive waivers for any deficiencies in the English literature, mathematics, biological or physical science, social studies, fine arts, and physical education requirements, but must take the following:
      1. Philosophy 101 or 102 at Trinity;
      2. Theology 121 or 122 at Trinity;
      3. English 103 at Trinity or by transfer;
      4. History 103 or 104 either at Trinity or by transfer, unless two or more history courses are transferred in;
      5. One cross-cultural course at Trinity or by transfer;
      6. One interim course at Trinity

You may transfer up to 65 credits from your community college. Trinity accepts unlimited credit hours from four-year accredited colleges and universities; however, the last 45 credit hours in your program of study need to be taken at Trinity.

APPLICATION PROCESS
  1. Complete the application for admission online at www.trnty.edu/admissions/apply.html. You can also print out an application from our Web site, or call the Admissions office at 866.TRIN.4.ME and request one to be mailed to you.
  2. If you aren't applying directly online, fill out and return the printed application by mail, or stop by our office.
  3. Submit official transcripts from each college previously attended. Applicants need: a cumulative college GPA of at least 2.0 (based on all colleges attended) and successful completion of all courses attempted at a rate in accordance with Trinity's rules for quantitative standards of satisfactory academic progress.
    • If you have accumulated less than 24 hours of college credit at the time of your application, contact your high school and have them send your transcripts and ACT scores to Trinity.
  4. After you have been accepted and have received your transfer evaluation by mail from the College registrar, contact a transfer counselor to schedule a meeting with a department chair and to arrange a tour of the campus.
    • If you prefer, you can also schedule a tour prior to receiving notification of acceptance.
