Matt Schans '00 has been at the helm of the baseball program for four seasons.
Each season he has improved the team's number of victories, including last
season’s record-setting 25 wins. He directed the 2007 squad to a 25-25
overall record, a 13-7 (second place) conference finish, and to a NCCAA
national tournament appearance. Schans was named the 2007 CCAC and NCCAA
Region Coach of the Year. His career record at Trinity is 67-92.
Schans
received a bachelor's degree in business from Trinity. He was a four-year
starter for the Trolls from 1997-2000, a captain for two seasons, and
a recipient of the College's Keith Albers Memorial Award. As the assistant
coach for two seasons, he helped Grove City College (PA) to consecutive
conference championships. He was also the assistant coach at South Christian
High School (Grand Rapids, MI) for one season.
Schans
is the College's athletics facilities coordinator and an instructor in
the physical education department. He, and his wife, Shannon, and daughters,
Sophie and Ellee,live on campus where they serve as residence directors.

Dale
Ralston is in his fifth season as assistant to the men's baseball program.
He has had a variety of coaching experience at various levels. His baseball
coaching experience includes an assistant position at Morgan Park Academy
(Chicago, IL) from 1996-2002 and two seasons at Russell Country High School
(AL). He also led the Morgan Park middle school team to a 21-1 record over
a three year period. In addition Ralston was the head coach for the girls'
volleyball team from 1996-2003, was named the ISL 1999-00 Volleyball Coach
of the Year, and served as the head boys' basketball coach from 1996-2000
all at Morgan Park Academy.
Ralston
earned his bachelor's degree in physical education from Jacksonville State
University (AL) in 1991. He currently teaches physical education at Arbor
Park Middle School (Oak Forest, IL). He resides with his wife, Janet, and
three children, Joshua, Jenna, and Leah, in Tinley Park, Illinois.
