Signs Local Pitching Talent (6/21/05)
Coach Matt Schans
sees continuing promise for the increased strength and depth of thepitching
staff. Part of that optimism comes from the fact that Justin Lemmenes,
a graduate of Chicago Christian High School (Palos Heights, Illinois),
has signed a letter of intent to join the Trolls next season.
Lemmenes, son
of Tom and Donna Lemmenes, performed very well on the mound in his senior
year. His 11-1 record led the area in wins as well as set a school
record for the Knights. He also set a school record for innings pitched,
at 72.2, while recording 62 strike-outs and posting a 2.12 earned run average.
He was awarded with all-conference and all-area honors.
"I am excited
about Justin coming to Trinity," comments Schans. "He had a great senior
year and has the ability to get even better. He is a solid addition
to our pitching staff."
