Elizabeth
Laubenberg Commits to the Track Team (1/03/06)
The women's
track and field fills a void as they sign hurdler Elizabeth Laubenberg
(Parker, Texas) for the 2006-07 season. Liz, daughter of Robert and Jodie
Laubenberg, brings a skill that will be a positive addition to the talent
level and to the completeness of the track team.
Liz competes
for Prestonwood Christian Academy (Plano, TX) in the hurdle events, where
she had recorded a best time of 15.9 in the 100 meter hurdles and 48.19
in the 300 meter hurdles. She has advanced to the Texas Association of
Private and Parochial School (TAPPS) state championship in the 100 meter
hurdles for the past three seasons, finishing in first in 2003 and 2004
and in second place in 2005. She also finished in the top four in the 300
meter hurdles for the past two seasons.
In addition Liz
runs on the 4 x 100 meter relay team and placed fourth at the 2005 state
championships. She also competes in the high jump, having cleared 5'0"
in competition.
