Kristin Peeples
Named Softball Coach (7/5/07)
Trinity is pleased
to name Kristin Peeples to the position of head softball coach and assistant
professor of physical education. Peeples replaces Sue Gasperec, who stepped
down after 14 years at Trinity.
Peeples has spent
the last two years as head coach at Nature Coast Technical High School
in Brooksville, Florida. She has also served the past three seasons as
the manager for the Florida Connection 18-under travel team. Her previous
experience includes coaching at Wando High School in Mt. Pleasant, South
Carolina, and leading the Carolina Commotion 16-under softball squad. Peeples
also spent time as a graduate assistant with the University of Missouri
softball program.
“We feel very
fortunate to add Kristin Peeples to our staff as she is a very talented
and dedicated coach,” said athletics director Jeff Raymond. “I am confident
that she will be a great fit for Trinity, both on the field and in the
classroom.”
Peeples played
both softball and soccer at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. She
earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Lee in 1998 and went
on to earn a master’s degree in sport management from the United States
Sports Academy in 2002.
