Women’s Basketball Run Over by Olivet Nazarene  (12/4/07)
The fast pace and full court defensive pressure of Olivet Nazarene University was too much for the Trolls to handle. The team fell behind at the start and ended with a 59-106 loss to Olivet, a CCAC Division I team. The Trolls are now 3-8 for the season.
 
The story of the game was the high number of turnovers that plagued the Trolls and the consistent shooting that produced 16 three-point baskets by Olivet.
 
As the Tigers found their rhythm and capitalized on the turnovers, the Trolls struggled offensively. They shot 28.6% in the first period, putting only 19 points on the board,.By that time they were down by 35 points, 19-54.
 
The game continued to get away from the Trolls in the second period as Olivet put 52 more points on the board.
 
Three players were in double figure scoring. Amanda Learned had 13 while Brittany Kolenbrander and Emily Thomassen had 11 each. Learned and Thomassen also ended the game seven rebound each. Leah Hollingsworth dished out six assists.
 
The Trolls will play next on Saturday at Ashford University (IA) at 1:00 pm.
