Allison Cable Joins the Softball Program  (12/20/07)
Although this year’s spring season has not yet begun, Coach Kristin Peeples is already making plans for the 2009 season. She is pleased to have Allison Cable, a senior at Illiana Christian High School in Lansing, Illinois, make an early commitment to attend Trinity and join the softball program.

“Allie is a great addition to our program,” said Peeples. “She is a hard worker and will depth to our infield. I look forward to seeing her mature into an outstanding college player.”

Cable, who plays third base, is an asset to the infield of the Vikings at Illiana Christian. She also has gained valuable playing experience and training with the Illiana Royals, a travel team.

“Allie is a hard worker,” comments Mike Oppenhuis, varsity girls’ coach at Illiana. “She is a quiet leader, who leads by example.”

Cable, the daughter of Doug and Bonnie Cable of Lansing, Illinois, is interested in majoring in exercise science.
