Women’s Basketball Ends Season  (2/27/08)
In a semi-final game of the conference tournament the Trolls experience a tough road against top CCAC seed and nationally ranked No. 8 Cardinal Stritch University. Never getting the momentum they needed, the team lost the game, 40-72, thus concluding their season with a 12-20 overall record.
 
In the opening minute of the contest Cardinal Stritch set the pace of the game, forcing the Trolls to turn the ball over and holding them to only three points in the first six minutes. Behind a barrage of three points the Wolves posted a 16 point lead with 8:00 left in the period. By the end of the half the score was 41-25.
 
The Trolls struggled in the second period to gain momentum as they shot only 28.6% for the half. Over a six minute stretch in the middle portion of the half Cardinal Stritch went on a 14 to 0 run to spread the scoring margin to 30 points. The Trolls, who only scored 15 points in the half, finished out the remaining six minutes with only five more points to fall to the final 32 point loss.
 
The team ended with a .390 shooting percentage. They grabbed a slight advantage on the boards with 31 rebounds to the Wolves 29. Brittany Kolenbrander led the scoring with 13 while Sarah Lerner added 10. Lerner also had four assists while Amanda Learned was the top rebounder with seven.
