Baseball Drops Conference Double-Header  (4/5/08)
The Trolls came up short in both games of a double-header at Purdue University-North Central. The team lost the first game 0-10 in the six innings and then took a 1-6 loss in game two. They are now 5-10 for the season and 2-3 in the conference.

The Trolls did not produce much offense in the first game, getting only four hits. Meanwhile Purdue-North Central jumped out to a quick lead, scoring runs in each of the first three innings. By the end of the third the score was 5-0. It remained there until the sixth inning when the Panthers scored another five runs and ended the game on the mercy rule.

In the second game the Trolls gave up four runs in the first inning to fall behind 0-4. They gave up one more in the second and one in the fifth inning. In their final attempt to keep the game alive, Rob Emmons started the seventh inning with a double. He eventually scored to prevent the shut-out. The Trolls loaded the bases, but left the runners stranded for the 1-6 loss.

The team will play next at Olivet Nazarene University on Monday, April 7, in a conference double-header at 1:00 pm.
