Baseball Drilled By Saint Xavier  (4/8/08)
The outcome of the conference game matched the day’s gloomy weather as the Trolls were defeated 0-13 by Saint Xavier University. By the time the rain started the damage had been done and the game was called after five innings.  
 
The game started out poorly for the Trolls who gave up three runs in the first, four runs in the second, and four more in the third to fall behind 11-0. Saint Xavier had 10 hits in those three innings while the Trolls struggled to get on base.
 
In the fifth inning Saint Xavier added two more runs to make it 13-0. The Cougars got one more at bat and then the game was officially called as the rain became steadier.
 
The Trolls ended with just three hits for the game while Saint Xavier had 15.
 
Trinity will resume conference action on Wednesday, April 9, as they host Trinity International University in a 1:00 pm double-header.
