Nykerk
Earns Pitcher of the Week Honors (4/17/08) 
Sophomore pitcher Jeff Nykerk was named the CCAC Pitcher of
the Week. In a conference game against Trinity International University on
April 9 he pitched a complete game shutout. Nykerk limited the Trojans to just
four hits in the seven-inning 2-0 win. For the game he struck out two batters
and walked two.
His performance also earned him Pitcher of the Week honors at the NAIA
Region level.
The team went 2-3 for that week and is currently 10-15 overall and 5-8 in
the conference. Nykerk is 4-2 for the season with a 5.34 ERA in 32 innings
pitched.
