Although Trinity International was the first one the scoreboard with a 2-0 lead after two innings, the Trolls came out as the better team. They scored big in the third inning to take a commanding lead. The team brought eight runs across the plate on eight hits and three errors.

That 8-2 score held throughout the rest of the game for the victory.

The Trolls got things started in the second game on a solo homer by Arendsen in the second inning. They added two more runs in the third inning to go ahead 3-0.

TIU got on the board in the fourth inning, but the Trolls did not let them gain ground as a triple by Jenna Gesiakowski, followed by a double by Vanderwerff brought two more runs to the Trolls total. The team then added a couple more in the fifth inning to make it 7-1.

The Trojans made up a little ground in the sixth inning behind two home runs to bring the score to 7-4. However the Trolls shut them down to keep the score there until the end.

Trinity posted ten hits for that game with seven different players in the action.

The team will continue conference action on Wednesday, April 23, with a home double-header against Cardinal Stritch University at 3:00 pm.
