Softball Ends Season with Losses (4/26/08)
The Trolls did not get the ending to their season that they wanted as they were shutout, 0-11 and 0-15, of both games of a double-header against Saint Xavier University. The team ended their season with a final overall record of 6-23 and a conference record of 4-14.
 
The score of the first game did not game did not become lopsided until the fifth inning. The Trolls trailed only 2-0 until that inning when they gave up three runs. The game got out of reach in the sixth inning when Saint Xavier produced five hits for six more runs. At the conclusion of that inning the game ended with the 11-0 score.  
 
The Trolls only had four hits for the game with Jenna Gesiakowski nabbing two of those.
 
In the second game the Trolls lost control early, as the Cougars scored eight runs in the first inning. Trinity never got going offensively and had only two hits for the game. By the end of the fifth inning the score was 15-0 and the game ended on the mercy rule.
 
The Trolls, who ended in 8th place in the conference standings, will not advance to post-season play.
