TRACK AND
FIELD AT CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY (4/30/04)
In a field of
five men's team and six women's team the Trolls finished 4th in the meet
at Concordia University (IL). The TCC men's team scored 41 points and the
women's team ended with 75 points.
In the men's
events Matt Pfadenhauer had a good day as he placed 1st in the javelin
with a throw of 153'00. He was also 3rd in the discus with a distance of
124'05. Ryan Bruxvoort grabbed top honors in the 800 meter run as
his time of 2:08.07 earned him a 2nd place.
The women's team
had great success in the 800 meter run as 5 runners were in the top 8.
Ashley Afman led that group with a 1st place finish (2:28.18) and
Diana Brickman was 2nd (2:30.29). Amy Hoving won the 1500 meter
run at 5:03.82. Esther Peters placed in both hurdle events, winning
the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:12.11.
The next competition
for the team will be the NCCAA National Championships on May 7-8 at Indiana
Wesleyan University (Marion, IN).
