Coach
Jeff Raymond has three years of experience as the head men’s and women’s
track and field coach. Under his leadership, the teams continue to establish
new marks, setting fourteen new outdoor school records in the 2007 season.
He also had seven individual athletes qualify for the NCCAA national championships
and the program’s first-ever qualifier for the NAIA national championships.
Raymond
graduated from Taylor University (IN) with a degree in physical education
and health. He went on to earn his master's degree in sports management
at the University of Georgia. He has spent time as an assistant coach in
the track and field programs at the University of Georgia, Taylor, and
Westmont College (CA). As a college athlete he ran track for four seasons
and holds three school records at that college. He is a four-time NCCAA
All-American and won the national titles in the 400 meter, 400 meter hurdles,
and 4 x 400 meter relay in the 1986 NCCAA National Championships.
Raymond
is the College's athletics director. He resides with his wife, Deborah,
and son, Elijah, in Midlothian, Illinois.
