Jan. 12 - San Ramon
This was our first full day in Costa Rica. We began with a clinic for a local youth team in San Ramon. We worked with seven girls ages 9-12 and afterwards we presented the Gospel. We jumped back on the field to play a game against a San Ramon under 22 team. Though we lost 2-0, it was a great experience for us. After the game one of the girls on our team gave a testimony. We presented the San Ramon team with Trinity Christian College t-shirts and a Score International pamphlet with Bible verses; we presented the MVP of their team with a signed soccer ball.
We then had a lunch of rice, beans, salad and chips at a local restaurant. Afterwards, we traveled to the orphanage at Naranjo. We stayed for a few hours and got to know the children. We did crafts, played with them, and loved on them. Even though we didn't want to, we left and returned to our Coronado home. Overall, it was a very rewarding day. We feel blessed that we were able to love and to share the Gospel with a variety of different people.
