| 413 Nursing Capstone Practicum |
For basic students this course provides a student-to-graduate transitional experience in
health care settings. This intensive clinical practicum permits the student to manage a
full client workload with all of its duties and responsibilities. RN students contract
with the instructor for an individualized, independent practicum designed to afford a
learning experience beyond previous practice. Prerequisites: NURS 407, concurrent enrollment, successful completion of all prior required nursing courses. Credit Hours: 5

A synthesis course addressing current issues in nursing, including leadership and
management, ethical, sociocultural, political, economic, legal, and technological
