Disability
Services - Accommodation plans
When a
physical, emotional, attentional, or learning disability impacts
a student's academic progress, accommodations may be available to
offset the negative
effects of
the disability.
Nancy Kwasteniet,
director of Academic Support Services, will discuss an accommodation
plan during a confidential interview with the student. Appropriate accommodations
then will be forwarded in writing to the student's professors, and academic
progress will be monitored throughout the semester.
Students with
diagnostic paperwork should bring a copy to the interview.
Students with
a potential learning problem that has not been identified can talk about
their academic history to determine what kind of problem exists.
Information
about diagnostic testing is available.
