2007 SUMMER SESSION


Registration and Schedule Information

Dates

Courses begin Monday May 21, 2007 and end Friday, June 8, 2007. (Note: some classes are offered in extended formats. This is noted on the course offering page).        

Admission/Registration

Registration is initiated by completing one of the online registration forms provided below.

If you are a current Trinity student or future Trinity student (already accepted for admittance in the fall of 2007), complete the on-line registration form and submit it electronically. If you prefer, you may print the form and return it by fax to 708-239-3969 or in person to the registrar's office. Registration questions can be addressed to registrar@trnty.edu or 708-239-4758.

If you are not a current or already accepted future Trinity student, complete the on-line guest student application/registratio nform and submit it electronically. If you prefer, you may print the form and return in by fax to 708-239-4826 or in person to the admission's office. Guest student questions can be addressed to bev.boeringa@trnty.edu or 708-239-4708.

If you have not yet graduated from high school, you will also need to provide written endorsement by an official representative of your high school that you:

  1. Will have completed the junior year of high school by the summer of 2007
  2. Have a high school grade point average of at least 3.3/4.0
  3. Possess the maturity to handle college-level course work

Tuition and Fees

Tuition payments are due in full prior to the first class session. The 2007 Summer Session tuition and fees are:

  • Tuition - $285 per semester credit hour
  • Auditing Fee - $80 per semester credit hour

* Certain courses have a different tuition rate. This rate is noted in the course schedule.

Students withdrawing from summer session courses must inform the registrar's office in writing. The date on which such written notification is received by the registrar will determine the amount of the tuition refund. There is no refund of the auditing fee.

Refunds will be based on the following schedule:

For a 3 week course:

Notification received before the end of the 2nd day of classes: 100%
Notification received after the end of the 2nd day, no refunds will be given.

For a 5 week course:

Notification received before the end of the day on Tuesday, May 29th: 100%
Notification received after May 29th, no refunds will be given.

For a 6 or 7 week course:

Notification received before the end of the day on Monday, June 4th: 100%
Notification received after June 4th, no refunds will be given.

NOTE: Students may not add summer courses after the 2nd day of classes.

Textbooks and Course Materials

Textbooks and other course materials are available for purchase through the college bookstore located in the Molenhouse Student Center. For more information, E-mail the bookstore at bookstore@trnty.edu or call 708-239-4702.

Withdrawal from Courses

A student may add a course or withdraw from a course without a transcript entry through the second day of class.  Withdrawals made after the second day of class and before the class is two-thirds completed will receive a transcript entry of “withdraw-pass” or “withdraw-fail.”  No withdrawals are permitted after two-thirds of the class has been completed. Campus Housing

Limited on-campus housing may be available. If you are interested in housing, contact the Student Development Office at 708-239-4705 or E-mail mark.hanna@trnty.edu. Housing applications will be available after March 16, 2007.
