Half-time faculty position in Adult Studies, with expertise in special education, starting in fall 2013.
Master’s degree and at least five years of K-12 teaching experience required, with a minimum of three years in special education. Ph.D. preferred. Experience in or willingness to teach online courses. A desire to work with adult students and to gain an understanding of the adult learner. Previous collegiate work strengthens the application.
Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education in the tradition of Reformed Christian higher education and be competent to demonstrate to students a mature articulation of faith and learning. Faculty members are also dedicated to personal involvement with students outside the classroom in advising, social interaction, and informal academic and cultural settings.
Primary responsibilities include teaching adult studies special education courses, most of which are at the main campus in Palos Heights but some of which are at other locations. Other responsibilities include serving as an advisor to students and participating in intake interviews. This is a ten month position, which includes one month during the summer.
Rank and salary commensurate with experience.

Trinity Christian College is a four-year liberal arts college located in Palos Heights, Illinois, a suburb twenty miles southwest of Chicago.
