Counseling Psychology: Half-Time Faculty Position in Graduate Program
Half-time faculty position as instructor-practitioner in the Counseling Psychology Graduate Program teaching courses in the program starting August 16, 2014
Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology required. Must hold license or be license-eligible in State of Illinois. Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education in the tradition of Reformed Christian higher education and be competent to demonstrate to students a mature articulation of faith and learning.
Teaching responsibilities will include a total of 18 credit hours during the four terms in the academic program year. Other duties include office hours and involvement with department meetings and activities. The dates of the new faculty orientation are August 12-14, 2014.
About the Department
The Counseling Psychology Graduate Program offers the MA degree in Counseling Psychology based on the curriculum required by the State of Illinois for licensure as a Professional Counselor. The program offers courses year round in both face-to-face and hybrid formats. Courses are offered in the evenings. Students progress through the program together as a cohort. The program is committed to small class sizes and significant engagement between faculty and students.
Rank and salary commensurate with experience at the rate of 50% of a full-time equivalent position.
