Physics: Adjunct Professor in Physics – Physical Science, Spring 2015
Adjunct faculty needed to teach an introductory course on the basic laws and principles of classical physics, atomic physics and chemistry beginning January 22, 2015. The class is required for elementary education majors and fulfills a science general education requirement for other non-science majors. The class covers mechanics, heat and waves, electricity, atomic physics, and chemistry. This class is scheduled to be offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 – 9:50 a.m., with a lab on Wednesdays from 1:30 – 3:20 p.m.
Ph.D. strongly preferred; Master’s degree required. Previous collegiate teaching experience desired. Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education in the tradition of Reformed Christian higher education and be competent to demonstrate to students a mature articulation of faith and learning. Faculty members are also dedicated to personal involvement with students outside the classroom in advising, social interaction, and informal academic and cultural settings.
