Physics: Adjunct Professor in Physics – Advanced Electricity and Magnetism, Fall 2014
Adjunct faculty needed to teach a small class in advanced physics on electricity and magnetism beginning August 27, 2014. This is an upper-level course that will build upon the electricity and magnetism learned in the second semester of general physics. This course will cover Coulomb’s Law, Gauss’s Law, Ampere’s Law, and Maxwell’s equations. It will treat electromagnetism in both vacuum and continuous media. Vector calculus and methods for solving differential equations. This class is currently scheduled to be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:20 – 9:20 a.m., but could possibly be taught in the evenings.
Ph.D. strongly preferred; Master’s degree required. Previous collegiate teaching experience desired.
