At the end of August, more than 230 incoming freshmen will be moving into their new homes-away-from-home. As these students registered for classes, bought their extra-long twin sheets, and tended to last minute checklists, they were surrounded with prayer and support by a caring Trinity community.
One of the great things about the Christian faith is its ability to unite diverse people under the banner of a common cause. Each year, alumni and friends of Trinity lift up the College in their prayers and support it with their finances, whether or not they know any of the students in attendance. Because of this support, each and every student—from the excited freshman preparing for his first class to the confident senior perfecting her resumé—receives both tangible and intangible benefits.
Donations to the Trinity Fund reduce each student’s tuition by more than $1,000 per year. Thus, over a four-year education, the student’s tuition costs are reduced by $4,000. If that amount had been loaned, principal and interest payments would be required.
While donors support the Trinity Fund year-round, the College has several events specifically designed to raise money for this vital source of financial support: Jubilation!, a dinner-and-entertainment fundraiser held every October, provides an excellent one-time infusion of support, while the Fall Phonathon and Annual Spring Drive provide additional opportunities for alumni and friends to keep the Trinity Fund strong.
Expanded use of voicemail and Caller ID has made it far more difficult for College representatives to make personal contact with alumni and friends of Trinity. We hope that you will show your support for the Trinity community by answering calls from students, staying connected to the College, and lifting up each and every one of our students with prayer and gifts of support.
