Called to participate in the life of a community.
The social work program prepares you for community-centered generalist social work practice. It emphasizes that community well-being is essential to a common good, that each community has gifts and assets, and that we are called to participate in the life of a community.
You will have the opportunity to fulfill your calling to Christ-like service through numerous service learning and field education experiences in the Chicagoland area.
Professor Mackenzi Huyser, Ph.D., on learning and serving
“I love when students show their passion for serving others, either through their classroom work or activities around campus and in the community. I also love to see them challenge the status-quo and advocate for change.”
