Arriving about 15 minutes later at the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf, we made our way to our dorm rooms, our home away from home for the next week, and settled in. Since the afternoon was free, we organized our Bible teaching activities for the week, carnival games and prizes and food in the cafeteria. We also made samples of each of the teaching activities, which proved to be quite a bonding experience.
We had a chance to meet the missionary family on campus, the Daniels family, and go over some of the logistics for the week. We are sure to have a busy, exciting and fun-filled experience on the beautiful island of Jamaica. Please pray for safety for the group, the ability to communicate with the deaf children on campus, solidarity for our team, and most important, growth in each of our relationships with our Lord Jesus
Tomorrow we will be worshipping at The Meeting Place and then spending the afternoon at Doctor’s Cave Beach Resort before we hit the ground running on Monday morning. More updates will follow.
