Citing Sources
Documenting sources is an
important part of any research paper. This is a guide to two of the most
frequently used style formats. MLA is used most often for topics
in the humanities (Art, Literature, Philosophy, Religion, and History).
APA is used for the social sciences (Education, Psychology, and Sociology).
Check with your professor to see which style is appropriate for your assignment.
Below you will find examples
of the most commonly cited materials. This is not an
exhaustive list. For further information, consult the books and Web
sites listed under Additional Help.
