Trinity Welcomes Back Storyteller Dan Keding
Dan Keding, award winning storyteller, is scheduled to return to Trinity on Tuesday, February 2, for an event sponsored by the Cultural Affairs Committee. The event will include an afternoon workshop and an evening performance. Both events are free of charge and open to all students and the community.
The Workshop, Grand Lobby of the Ozinga Chapel, 3:30 p.m.
The workshop will give audience members a chance to learn about the planning that goes into a storytelling experience and will be especially valuable to future teachers, ministers, those in business, and anyone with an audience of their own.
Evening Performance, Marg Kallemeyn Theatre, 7 p.m.
In the evening Keding, will give a performance telling stories about his childhood in the neighborhoods of Chicago, his family, and mysterious tales of other cultures. Keding’s storytelling will be enhanced through his singing and personal accompaniment on the guitar, banjo, and spoons. Following the event light refreshments will be served.
Keding performed at Trinity in 2007. His wide storytelling repertoire and a style that kept the audience engaged, prompted the College to ask Keding back for a return engagement.
