Black and White Dress Up and Jazz Night

Dress up in your best black and white wear and enjoy an evening of jazz!

The Junius Paul Quartet will be performing on September 5, 7:30 p.m., in the Ozinga Chapel. Paul is a phenomenal jazz bassist from Chicago and has been playing bass since the age of 15. The evening will open with tunes by the Trinity Christian College Jazz Band under the direction of Dr. Ken Austin, professor of music.

“This annual event is a great way to kick off the new school year and a wonderful way to showcase Trinity’s exceptional jazz band,” said Dr. Sherry Barnes, associate professor of communication arts.

The community is also welcome to enjoy excellent jazz music close to home. Attendees are encouraged to dress in anything from black and white formals to zoot suits.

Admission is FREE, and refreshments will be served following the performance. The evening is sponsored by the College's Cultural Affairs Committee and the music department. For more information, contact Trinity’s music department at 708.239.4874.
