The Heritage Science Center provides all of the technology, supplies, and facilities that students and professors need for advanced studies. The spacious chemistry, physics, and biology labs house equipment for conducting a wide variety of experiments.
Research in the biology department ranges from bone-marrow stem cells and molecular genetics to habitat restoration and biodiversity. The greenhouse on the second floor provides year-round opportunities for ecological and botanical studies.
The chemistry department enjoys a cooperative relationship with Global Green Products, a chemical company specializing in making environmentally-friendly products. The company utilizes space in the center; this in turn provides research opportunities for students. Students are also involved in organic syntheses and environmental analytical research.
Larger classes meet in the lecture hall, which seats nearly 100 people, and students may use either of the two computer classrooms.
