Physics

Grappling with how the world works

The physics program at Trinity is for students who hope to understand the advanced properties of light, matter, and energy, and the interactions between them. But it’s more than that. Taught from a Christian perspective, Trinity’s Physics program develops scientifically literate, broadly educated thinkers, who seek to respond to social and environmental justice issues. Physics isn’t only about theoretical concepts–it occurs in everything that happens.

Potential internships include:

  • Argonne National Laboratory
  • Fermilab
  • Molex, a fiber optics company
  • Hitachi High Technologies America in Oregon during summer
