Theology and Christian Ministry

Elizabeth Hulford is an affiliated faculty member in the Theology Department.

Dr. Elizabeth Hulford believes that teaching theology and ministry courses helps prepare students for engaging the world.  “The courses I teach help students to understand the origins of their faith, the diverse beliefs that religious communities adhere, and the real difference that theology makes in daily living,” she said. “These courses prepare students to live in a Christ-centered manner in whatever careers they pursue.”

Hulford wants her students to develop the knowledge that God has always been active in human history and God is active and loving in their own lives. “I would like them to feel the freedom to be curious about God, voice their questions and beliefs, recognize their own leadership abilities, and integrate faith into their daily lives.”

She was drawn to Trinity after befriending many alumni and professors of the College. “I was impressed by their love for the College and the education it provides. I felt excited to consider what I could offer to the community and the lives of students.” She said she loves teaching at Trinity because she loves witnessing God working in student’s lives in the learning environment. “There is nothing more satisfying than witnessing a student receive new knowledge, process it, and be transformed.”
