Nursing

“It is essential for nursing students to see how their personal relationship with God enables Christ-like service to others.”

Kathryn Stefo has devoted her life to a career in nursing and is now bringing her experience into Trinity’s classrooms. “Studying nursing from Trinity’s Christian perspective enables nursing students to not only help communities flourish but also to develop into nurse who have meaningful careers.” Stefo’s teaching style incorporates an evidence-based, holistically oriented practice that facilitates learning. “I am also very invested in several interdepartmental student research teams.”

What drew her to Trinity:

Stefo was drawn to Trinity by the opportunity to teach students to serve patients in creative, Christ-like way. “I love teaching in a community that strives to be inventive and supportive of each student’s learning process.”

Research interests:

She uses action research to increase student engagement and learning. “As a nursing educator, I am especially interested in preparing students for excellence in scholarship and practice.”
