Nursing

“Nursing is a wonderful and rewarding discipline, which can help so many people in so many different ways. Not only do nurses heal in the acute care hospital settings, but they can impact larger communities.”

Expertise
Tammy Boll wants her students to leave her class energized and excited about nursing and all the possibilities that go along with the profession. “I have a passion for teaching the younger generation how to become amazing nurses. And I have had the pleasure of mentoring some of my past students who have gone on to get their master’s degrees to teach nursing as well, so that they can also inspire students. It is wonderful to watch them grow in their career, as well as their faith, through this journey.”

What drew her to Trinity:
Boll taught at Trinity as an adjunct before her current position. “I was very impressed by the students’ eagerness to learn. I also felt very well supported by the other faculty, and it felt like home.”

Research interests:
Boll is interested in student learning in a simulation lab, compared to learning in an acute care setting. “I will pursue research relating to what content can successfully be taught in a simulation setting.”

When she’s not teaching:
Boll spends time with her two daughters and husband. “We love to travel.”
