Sharina Porter

Counseling Intern

Making the decision to pursue a post-secondary education can be both exciting and intimidating. After experiencing a great deal of stress and trauma as an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Sharina became interested in learning effective ways to support college students who may have a similar experience. Sharina is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at National Louis University. She is born and raised in Chicago. Her special interest in college students and passion for Christ made Trinity Christian College the perfect fit. She is most excited about the opportunity to incorporate both spirituality and science in the process of helping others. Sharina has years of experience servicing students at community colleges, located in the underserved areas of Chicago. Excited is an understatement! This will be a great year!

“A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts, not on marble”
