You have worked hard in school, and we want to reward you for that. We offer several scholarships to students with proven academic records and outstanding test scores, as well as scholarships based on your leadership in an area you plan to continue to participate in at Trinity, your declared major, your hometown location, and more.

Some of Trinity’s scholarships are competitive and have a limited number of available awards. Unless otherwise noted, apply by December 1 for full consideration of all scholarship opportunities. Financial Need will be assessed for all scholarships that designate a FAFSA application is required. Scholarship materials can be submitted to scholarships@trnty.edu or by mail to the Financial Aid Office.

Founders

Leadership Scholarships

Awards are available for: Art and Design, Choir (Concert and Gospel), Instrumental Music, Campus Ministry, Theatre, and Worship Leadership.
All leadership scholarships have an application deadline of January 15.
Diversity Scholars
$1,500
Multiple awards given to students from underrepresented populations who have demonstrated leadership in promoting diversity. Minimum of 3.0 GPA required. Application is available at Diversity Scholarship Application.

Scholarship for Athletics

Athletic scholarships are awarded by the Athletics Department and are available for basketball, soccer, volleyball, track & field, cross country, golf, baseball and softball. Students can receive both academic and athletic awards, however most other awards are inclusive. On the Athletics homepage, click on your sport to complete an interest form.
Lynndell & Russell Hollender Organ Scholarship

One award given annually to a student interested in leading worship as an organist, who already has proficiency on a keyboard instrument and who has a 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to music majors or minors and to those who enroll in organ lessons. Required: Admission to the College, Audition with music department.
Mitchell Memorial Scholarship

One renewable award; outstanding high school athlete; recipient determined by coaches. Required: Admission to the College.

CRC Race Relations Multiracial Student Scholarship

A scholarship recipient must train for and engage in the ministry of racial reconciliation in church and/or in society. Our scholarship fund is one of the strategies we employ to develop multiracial leaders.For Black, Indigenous, or People of Color who are attending (or hoping to attend) Trinity Christian College. First year students may receive up to $500 per semester, No student will receive more than $2,000 per academic year.The application is available online and the deadline is May 31. Trinity is pleased to offer a scholarship for Arrupe College, City Colleges of Chicago, Elgin Community College, Kankakee Community College, Rock Valley College, Moraine Valley Community College, Prairie State College, College of DuPage, South Suburban College, Joliet Junior College, Morton College, and Triton College students!
The $1,000 GAP scholarship is fully renewable and available to students who have completed 12 credits or more from one of these institutions. The application deadline is fast approaching. Apply today!

Awards are available to students enrolled in adult undergraduate special education program and who have been employed at Elim Christian School for at least 3 months.

An award given annually to a student who will be student teaching in the upcoming year.

Scholarship opportunity for returning students (Special Education and BIS programs):
Audrey H. Kooyenga Adult Education Special Education Scholarship
Students with senior status in a Special Education program are invited to apply, if they meet the following criteria:
- Must be in good academic standing (have a 3.25 cumulative G.P.A. prior to Trinity and a 3.50 while at Trinity)
- Must have 1-2 years of accumulated experience in Special Education-related activities (please provide documentation of experience).
- Preferably is a graduate of a Christian high school and/or college.
- Have financial need.
Center for Special Education Scholarship – $500
- Up to 4 awards available to students enrolled in the Special Education or BIS programs who are employed at Elim.
Graduate Special Education Academic Achievement Scholarship – $1000
- A one-time award given annually to a graduate student in either the Special Education or BIS Program.
Ozinga Urban Education Scholarship – $1000
- A one-time scholarship given to first year graduate students in the education program, who have demonstrated academic achievement with a 3.5 cumulative G.P.A. in their undergraduate work. Preference is given to those with financial need.
Colosimo Family Graduate Education Honors Scholarship
Applicants with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher may apply for a one-time award of $1,250 (one for a spring start, one for a fall start). Applicant must submit a 500 word essay that describes the role of service to others in their future career as a counselor. Essays may be submitted to scholarships@trnty.edu. The application deadline to submit your essay to be considered for the spring semester start is December 1; deadline for the fall semester start is August 1.
Graduate Counseling Scholarship
Applicants must have completed one semester in the Clinical Mental Health masters program, be in good academic standing (3.0 or higher while at Trinity) and identify with one of the following: First Generation student, student of color, or a student who demonstrates financial need. Applicants must submit a 500 word essay that responds to the prompt: How will you integrate social justice into the work of your career as a counselor? To apply, complete the Returning Student Scholarship application that is made available in February.
Clinical Mental Health Counseling Research Fellowship
The research fellowship offers clinical mental health graduate students the opportunity to develop their skills in the application of research methods to clinical practice. The recipient can receive up to $7,000 and must be a second-year graduate student. The graduate fellow will work collaboratively with members of the counseling faculty. At the conclusion of the fellowship, the recipient will offer a presentation of their project to the wider counseling and psychology community. The research fellowship application is circulated each spring.
