When you pursue a philosophy, politics and law degree at Trinity, you will become an intellectual with vision and wisdom toward politics and law.
This degree program integrates the study of philosophy with selected courses in the social sciences (for a total of 45 credit hours). It is designed for students who intend to pursue graduate legal studies, but is suitable for any student who is interested in gaining a philosophical and historical understanding of the structures of contemporary political society.
The major includes courses that engage with the history of philosophy for the concerns of present-day life and culture, courses focused on social philosophy, logic, a year-long senior research seminar oriented to students’ particular interests, an internship with an agency or firm that is connected to the student’s interest, and courses in Political Science and Criminal Justice.

Improving the world economically
The interdisciplinary economics studies minor is designed to enable students to articulate the principles of macro-and microeconomics and to critically examine through the lens of faith of a Reformed Christian perspective how these principles influence the world we live in. The required coursework emphasizes an understanding of the history and development of economic thought and the impact of economic development in improving poverty, the urban experience, and the overall human condition.
The Education Unit draws upon a Biblically-based perspective to prepare pre-service teachers to embody Christ-like servanthood. We prepare teachers to cultivate relational peace, educational equity, and justice for all children and to impact the mind, body, and soul of each student through excellence in teaching. Our pre-service teachers exemplify professionalism and ethical behavior inside and outside of the classroom as they serve with excellence in education.
Students with a business education major may seek the Illinois Professional Educator License with a grades 6-12 endorsement.

The mission of Trinity’s business department is to provide, within a Reformed Christian liberal arts context, a comprehensive foundation in business theory and practice that prepares you for your vocation and/or graduate studies. We use a servant-leadership model to prepare you to be effective leaders and managers within any sphere of business.
Through dynamic, hands-on classes, you will strengthen your ability to solve problems, build effective teams, innovate in a fast-changing world of business, and understand how to grow the skills of your workforce while furthering the goals of the organization. The business administration major will help you grow as an ethical and strategic leader, integrating your own knowledge and experiences with the principals of good management and leadership.

Add a digital design minor to your goals
At Trinity, you can choose to minor in digital design. Studies in digital design combine art, art history, computer science, communication arts and business courses.
Your degree in digital design can lead to jobs in start-ups as well as national firms. Or you may decide to pursue work at an ad agency or design firm.
Trinity’s beautiful Palos Heights, Ill., campus is 25 miles from downtown Chicago. That means that the Windy City’s internationally recognized art and design scenes are an extension of our classrooms. Explore Chicago’s exciting galleries, museums, and studios under the guidance of professors whose work is in those galleries and collections. First-hand encounters with artists and designers in Chicago will prepare you for your role as an artist, designer, or art educator in the always evolving contemporary art world.
As an art student at Trinity, internships provide practical preparation for your career. Specializations in the fine arts will help you focus on your talents. Built on the creative and intellectual foundation of the fine arts, the art department also offers concentrations in courses that can lead to graduate school in fine art or careers in the graphic arts. The program culminates with an internship and an exhibition in the College’s Seerveld Gallery.
Seek your future with an accountancy minor
For students with a love of numbers and the desire to work with organizations, Trinity offers a minor in accounting. Our accounting students are positioned for professional success when they leave here—in 2020, Trinity’s accounting program graduates had the highest pass rate and average exam score in the state on the CPA exams administered by the Illinois Board of Examiners!
Along with exceptional academics, Trinity accounting students also enjoy all the internship opportunities that Chicago offers. Many of our accounting students receive job offers before they graduate. Employers know how well-prepared our graduates are.
Earn a minor in finance
When you bring a Christian perspective to a career in finance, you can make a difference in the world. With a minor in finance from Trinity, you will experience and understand how organizations create and manage their resources. You will also better understand the fields of banking and finance beyond dollars and cents. Your coursework will include asset allocation, global finance, real estate, securities, and tax.
