The mission of Trinity’s business department is to provide, within a Reformed Christian liberal arts context, a comprehensive foundation in business theory and practice that prepares you for your vocation and/or graduate studies. We use a servant-leadership model to prepare you to be effective leaders and managers within any sphere of business.

Through dynamic, hands-on classes, you will strengthen your ability to solve problems, build effective teams, innovate in a fast-changing world of business, and understand how to grow the skills of your workforce while furthering the goals of the organization. The business administration major will help you grow as an ethical and strategic leader, integrating your own knowledge and experiences with the principals of good management and leadership.

Classes meet at night from 6 pm-10 pm. Classes begin each fall and are offered on a year-round basis. There are multiple opportunities to join classes throughout the year. Please contact us to see what our current class schedule and availability is.

For students with a love of numbers and the desire to work with organizations, Trinity offers a minor in accounting. Our accounting students are positioned for professional success when they leave here—in 2020, Trinity’s accounting program graduates had the highest pass rate and average exam score in the state on the CPA exams administered by the Illinois Board of Examiners!

Along with exceptional academics, Trinity accounting students also enjoy all the internship opportunities that Chicago offers. Many of our accounting students receive job offers before they graduate. Employers know how well-prepared our graduates are.

When you bring a Christian perspective to a career in finance, you can make a difference in the world. With a minor in finance from Trinity, you will experience and understand how organizations create and manage their resources. You will also better understand the fields of banking and finance beyond dollars and cents. Your coursework will include asset allocation, global finance, real estate, securities, and tax.

With internship opportunities that only a global city like Chicago can provide, you will develop the knowledge, skills, and values to contribute to the financial success of organizations of all sizes.

A minor in chemistry from Trinity will prepare you for further studies at the graduate level, as well as for careers in research, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and food industries, among many others.

Through research, independent study, and field work and internships at some of the nation’s most cutting-edge science centers, you will be prepared for a career in industrial chemistry, medicine, teaching, or graduate studies while expanding your understanding of the Creator, His creation, and our care for it.

With a minor in psychology from Trinity Christian College, you will gain insights into humanity, based on the Creator’s teaching. You will learn to blend natural science approaches with studies of the human experience, selfhood, and relationships among individuals. You will not only receive a strong, liberal arts based approach to psychological science–you will also be able to apply that knowledge to the art of understanding the self and relating to the contemporary world in all its complexity.

And your education won’t be just theoretical. With our 11-to-1 student to faculty ratio, our students get the opportunity to do serious research, guided by our caring professors. Our location just 25 miles from downtown Chicago means that you will also have the opportunity do internships and gain field experience in a variety of settings.

At Trinity, studies of history are shaped by the study of the outlines of what has happened in the past and by bringing you in contact with the sources which inform us about the past. Your professors emphasize skills in reading, writing, thinking, and speaking that are critical to gaining historical understanding, to communicate that understanding to others, and to apply historical understanding to responsible service.

Those who minorcontinue on to graduate school or into a wide range of careers in business, government, politics, journalism, and non-profit organizations.

With Trinity’s 11-to-1 student to faculty ratio, you will work closely with professors and fellow students on your journey. In your junior and senior years, you will take part in small-group tutorials, conduct collaborative research with faculty, present your work to audiences outside the Trinity community, and participate in local internships.

Are you excited when you learn a new way to use computers? Do you love being introduced to new computer technologies? Do you have interests in computing as well as other academic areas? If your answer to any of these questions is “yes,” then Trinity’s minor computing program could be for you!

Your coursework will include elements of programming and data structures and algorithms, with the flexibility to choose higher-level computer science coursework.

Computer technologies are transforming so many areas of human society that there is a rapidly growing need for those who are well rounded and possess a solid liberal arts education.

If you have a passion for math and computers, then Trinity’s minor in computer science will get you ready for your career. The program’s coursework involves elements of programming, data structures and algorithms, analytic geometry and calculus, and probability and statistics.

With this degree, you will be prepared for a career in research or industry, or to continue your studies in graduate school.

When you earn a minor in marketing from Trinity, you will be prepared to practice creativity in business and strategic decision-making in product and services marketing. Your coursework will encompass marketing management, product management, services marketing, and on-line marketing/social media.

To help discern their gifts and calling in the marketplace, many of our students enhance their project-based coursework with internships in downtown Chicago, including through our Chicago Semester.

After the experiences gained through Chicago Semester, students are even more equipped to lead integrated personal, professional, and public lives.
