Get Essential Skills & A taste of Data via 1.5 Credit Mini-Courses
The data analytics program offers a rotating schedule of 1.5 credit (half-semester) courses that teach fundamental skills and tools. Topics include data visualization, ethics in technology, experimental design, and more. With no prerequisites, these courses provide an excellent starting place for those interested in exploring the field of data analytics or students looking to extend their tech skillsets. These courses serve as one entry point to the data analytics major, minor, and micro-credentials.
Improving the world economically
The interdisciplinary economics studies minor is designed to enable students to articulate the principles of macro-and microeconomics and to critically examine through the lens of faith of a Reformed Christian perspective how these principles influence the world we live in. The required coursework emphasizes an understanding of the history and development of economic thought and the impact of economic development in improving poverty, the urban experience, and the overall human condition.

Trinity’s CACREP accredited Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program offers rigorous professional training in counseling, combining theory, empirical research, and practical experience.
Students graduate prepared and qualified to test to become Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) in Illinois as well as many other states.

Start Dates & Format
The program begins each fall and spring, and operates on a year-round schedule.
It consists of 60 total credit hours. You take 2 courses at a time. Each course meets one night per week, so you are on campus 2 nights a week. The coursework consists of both traditional face-to-face courses and hybrid/blended courses with online components.
Counseling Clinical Experiences
Students complete a counseling practicum of 100 hours and a counseling internship of 600 hours.

Olive Branch Counseling Associates, Inc., South Suburban Family Shelter, Community Counseling Services of Illinois, Genesis Therapy Center, Orland Township Youth and Family Services, along with Trinity’s own Counseling Center.

Admissions requirements: a degree from a regionally accredited college or university, a 2.75 GPA, a major in psychology or a related field (for example: social work, healthcare communications, biology, nursing, or education). If one’s degree is in an unrelated field then the following prerequisites: Abnormal Psychology and two other psychology courses.
Applicants who do not meet these requirements can be admitted conditionally if they show the traits and skills necessary for professional counselors.
The mission of Trinity’s business department is to provide, within a Reformed Christian liberal arts context, a comprehensive foundation in business theory and practice that prepares you for your vocation and/or graduate studies. We use a servant-leadership model to prepare you to be effective leaders and managers within any sphere of business.
Through dynamic, hands-on classes, you will strengthen your ability to solve problems, build effective teams, innovate in a fast-changing world of business, and understand how to grow the skills of your workforce while furthering the goals of the organization. The business administration major will help you grow as an ethical and strategic leader, integrating your own knowledge and experiences with the principals of good management and leadership.

Seek your future with an accountancy minor
For students with a love of numbers and the desire to work with organizations, Trinity offers a minor in accounting. Our accounting students are positioned for professional success when they leave here—in 2020, Trinity’s accounting program graduates had the highest pass rate and average exam score in the state on the CPA exams administered by the Illinois Board of Examiners!
Along with exceptional academics, Trinity accounting students also enjoy all the internship opportunities that Chicago offers. Many of our accounting students receive job offers before they graduate. Employers know how well-prepared our graduates are.
Earn a minor in finance
When you bring a Christian perspective to a career in finance, you can make a difference in the world. With a minor in finance from Trinity, you will experience and understand how organizations create and manage their resources.
