College Meal Plans

What and when can I eat?

All residential students must have a meal plan.   A student’s options for meal plans is based on completed credits and residence hall/living location.

Meals are offered seven days a week and include options of healthy selections, vegetarian, gluten-free, and other menu items for those with special dietary needs.

Meal plans include:

  • All-you-can-eat meals in the dining hall and a variety of options at the Bootsma Bookstore Café.
  • Healthful and vegetarian options.
  • Special diets accommodated on an individual basis.
  • Meals available 7 days per week.
  • Convenient service hours with options for class, sports team, and work conflicts.

Prices listed below are for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Residents and Commuters select their meal plans using their Student Portal. Meal plan selections need to be made prior to the start of the semester; changes must be made before the tenth calendar day of the semester. Contact the student life office with questions about meal plan assignments or changes.

TrollBucks are a set amount of money, with a declining balance, connected to each meal plan.

TrollBucks can be spent on a meal in the Dining Hall or on a la carte items in the Bootsma Bookstore Café

Your meal plan is connected to your student ID. Simply scan your ID at the Dining Hall or the Bootsma Bookstore Café and meals or TrollBucks are deducted.

Students may add or change meal plans before the first ten days of a new semester.  A student may only select a meal plan that s/he is eligible for based on completed credits and living location.

The Dining Hall or the Bootsma Bookstore Café (BBC) cashiers are always ready to let you know your current balances.

No.  Unused meals do not roll over.

Yes. TrollBucks roll over fall-spring, but not spring-fall.

Complete the online Sick/Quarantine Meal Request Form.  Dining Services will follow up via email to confirm the information.  Meals will be delivered to the suite through a no contact drop-off.  Meals will be deducted from the student’s meal plan.  Please submit information 24 hours in advance whenever possible.
