Oscar Yanes

Prof. Oscar Yanes MA ’20 is an affiliated faculty member in the Counseling Psychology Department. He earned his Master’s degree from Trinity, and his undergraduate degree is in criminal justice. Yanes’s practice has involved utilizing his knowledge of both fields to specialize in working to rehabilitate criminal offenders and work through possible trauma and past experiences and working towards decreasing recidivism.

At the College, his courses include Lifespan Development and Introduction to Research. “Both classes are fundamental courses which contains knowledge utilized for many majors such as teaching, nursing, psychology, and criminal justice,” he says.
