Your coursework will include elements of programming and data structures and algorithms, with the flexibility to choose higher-level computer science coursework.

Computer technologies are transforming so many areas of human society that there is a rapidly growing need for those who are well rounded and possess a solid liberal arts education.

Make a difference with a minor

When you earn a minor in marketing from Trinity, you will be prepared to practice creativity in business and strategic decision-making in product and services marketing. Your coursework will encompass marketing management, product management, services marketing, and on-line marketing/social media.

To help discern their gifts and calling in the marketplace, many of our students enhance their project-based coursework with internships in downtown Chicago, including through our Chicago Semester.

After the experiences gained through Chicago Semester, students are even more equipped to lead integrated personal, professional, and public lives.

Make a difference with a minor from Trinity

Human resources requires a unique set of skills, and a minor from Trinity will prepare you for this key role. When you minor in Human Resource Management at Trinity, you will be prepared to effectively manage human resources activities from a strategic approach. You will gain a holistic view of organizational functions through your business coursework. And you will also learn to pay special attention to human relationships within organizations and how to manage them within an ethical framework.

At Trinity, you don’t just learn from textbooks. Since we’re located less than 25 miles from downtown Chicago, you will have many opportunities for internships and other hands on learning experiences.

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has acknowledged that Trinity’s HR Management degree now aligns with SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates.

Make a difference with your B.A.

Through a degree in communication arts, you will study the foundations of human communication, mass media and society, and the basics of journalism. You will learn communication theory, ethics, and criticism. And you’ll explore persuasive and public speaking.

You’ll do this by studying with passionate, Christian professors, with the entire city of Chicago in your backyard.

When you major in communication arts, you will choose a concentration in:
• Communication studies; or
• Theatre

Our program seeks to integrate the concerns of engaged citizenship and biblical faithfulness. We strive to navigate the biblical tension of being in but not of the world. Conversations in and out of class emphasize ways to be both critical and contributive in public life, in the marketplace, and in the worshipping life of various faith communities. Communication students from our program are thoughtful contributors to society and engaged practitioners for the Kingdom of God.

We'll prepare you for your career with a B.A.

A B.A. in business from Trinity allows you to explore your multiple talents and passions. As you major in business, you also pursue a minor in another discipline, such as art (including graphic design or digital design) computer science, English, mathematics, psychology, or Spanish. Your minor can come from any academic program that Trinity offers.

The business core courses will provide you with an introduction to accounting, economics, finance, global business, information technology, management, marketing, and strategic management.

Trinity’s business degree program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), the quality standard for business education.

If you would like to focus on one particular area of business, please see our Bachelor of Science Degrees in Accountancy, Entrepreneurial Management, Finance, Human Resource Management, and Marketing.
