Luis Acosta holds the position of Gift Officer in the Advancement Office. In his role, he works closely with the Senior Director of Major Gifts to execute strategic fundraising initiatives on behalf of the College and works closely with donors.
He felt drawn to Trinity Christian College by its mission and wanted to be part of an organization that aligned with his personal beliefs. In addition, his wife is a Trinity alumna and has shared her great experiences during her years at the college.
Prior to Trinity, Luis worked as a managing director at the Salvation Army. His role there included the creation of fundraisers. He maintained donor relations while overseeing the day-to-day operations, program activities, and social services of the organization. Also, he was a pastor for about 15 years in various areas of California, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, and Illinois. Both roles are beneficial to his current role at the college.
When Luis is not working, his time is spent with his wife and 3 children. His family is all about the arts so they enjoy music, drawing, painting, and anything creative in between. They take advantage of their proximity to Chicago and surrounding areas by visiting museums and farms. He also enjoys playing music for events and functions through DJ’ing.
