The board works closely with the director of alumni relations. Their cooperation requires the members to maintain accurate, updated information about fellow alumni within their region, assist with coordinating and promoting events, and prepare reports of business and activities to the College.

NOMINATIONS

The alumni office is always seeking nominees to fill positions on the Alumni Board of Directors. The College seeks to find a diverse group on the board from all ages, geographic locations, and backgrounds. The only requirement is that the nominee by a Trinity alum. This is a volunteer position with a three year, renewable term, and attendance at the two yearly meetings is required (travel expenses are reimbursable).

Each year, the Alumni of the Year Award is given to a Trinity graduate who has made a significant contribution to the field of their endeavor, and has been recognized by their associates for outstanding achievements. Each recipient has remained connected to the College and demonstrates a Christian commitment that reflects on the College’s mission.

2018 Alumni Award
The College is currently accepting nominations for the 2018 Award.   Nominations will be accepted until April 15, 2018.    All Trinity alumni are eligible for the award. Alum is defined as a student who achieved a minimum of 24 credit hours at Trinity. (approximately 1 year)

Nomination Process

  • All nominations will be considered, with the winner determined by the Trinity Alumni Board.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Has made a significant contribution to their field of endeavor.
  2. Are recognized by their associates for outstanding achievements through vocation or volunteerism.
  3. Manifests a Christian commitment that glorifies God and reflects on the mission of Trinity Christian College.
  4. Has maintained a connection to the College through time, talent, or resources.

Every year, the Trinity Alumni Board awards up to three Honorary Alumni Awards to individuals in the following categories:

  1. Staff member (past or current)
  2. Faculty Member (past or current)
  3. Friend of the College

This recognition is given based on the following criteria:

  • Excellence in vocation – this person stands out as an asset in their profession
  • Spiritual impact – this person is a Christian role model for students, nurturing faith and facilitating spiritual growth
  • Concern for students – this person is concerned with the welfare of the students, eager to help them learn and grow
  • Lasting influence – this person has a continuing influence on former students and has demonstrated a love for Christian higher education at Trinity

Nominees cannot have obtained a degree from Trinity
