Student Activities

Student Activities (STAC) exists at Trinity to create an atmosphere of activity and opportunity on campus, to invite students to actively engage with the campus community, and to develop student leaders who are equipped to serve that campus community.

What happens at Trinity on the weekends? Thanks to STAC there are so many things for you to do as a student. This team will develop an exciting variety of weekend events for the Trinity student body. The students in these roles will be key in welcoming students to campus and helping students experience this place as home.

This year we are seeking individuals who are excited to join a team that works to fulfill this purpose. If you accept this role, you will be challenged to be humble (celebrate and contribute to the work of the team), hungry (diligent, motivated, seeking opportunities to impact the student experience), and people smart (understanding how to lead and motivate others). You don’t have to fully embody those virtues to be hired, but you need to understand the direction we are heading!

These are the leadership positions offered for STAC:

Student Activities Chair

The Student Activities Chair oversees the STAC Committee experience and coordinates some of the best student traditions at Trinity. In this role you will guide the committee member experience and keep people excited about helping with STAC events. As such, the Chair will work with the committee and assist with student training and vision, budget distribution, programming calendar, and planning and leading large group committee meetings. The STAC Chair will help cast a vision for the Committee for offering campus-wide events that encourage student involvement and a sense of belonging at Trinity.

Weekend Chairs

The 4 Weekend Chairs collaborate to develop and deliver programs with the goal of offering something for the students every weekend of the year. Weekends are important opportunities to invite students into community through common experience.  These chairs each oversee individual committees, and each chair will be responsible for developing and delivering at least 1 event per month. This is a working minimum and there are times when we will exceed this number.

Marketing Chair

The Marketing Chair is responsible for developing visible marketing and PR materials for Student Activities. The Marketing Chair works with all programming groups to develop marketing strategies including visible advertising, posters, social media, and print materials.
